We are excited to share one of our most significant Onos product updates to date, with improvements focused on making the platform faster, smoother and more powerful for everyday use.

Over the past few weeks, we have delivered major enhancements across platform speed, page loading, dashboard interaction, filtering, table views and PDF exports. These updates are designed to improve the overall user experience, reduce admin time, make reporting easier, and help teams get to the information they need more quickly.

πŸš€ Onos Platform Release Notes

Web App Version: 1.7.9.8
Mobile App Version: iOS / Android v3.1.23
Release Date: July 2026

✨ Highlights

  • Magic Dashboard Charts
  • Filters Redesign
  • Audits and Inspections – Reopen Capability

πŸ†• New Features

πŸ“ˆ Dashboard Magic Charts

We have introduced further dashboard improvements with Magic Charts, allowing users to click through into the underlying actionable data more easily. Users can now click into chart data to open a preview panel, giving a quick snapshot of the relevant records before viewing the full live data set. Users who prefer without the preview panel can disable this in their profile settings and go straight from the chart to the source data.
This helps teams move from high-level trends into the records behind them, making it quicker to identify risks, supporting faster review, follow-up actions and decision-making.

What this means for you:

  • More interactive dashboard reporting
  • Easier access to the records behind the charts
  • Faster identification of trends, risks and follow-up actions

Admin next steps:
No setup is required for existing dashboard users, but this is a good opportunity for admins to review the dashboards and charts currently in use.
Admins may wish to check that key dashboards are still relevant, chart filters are correctly configured, and default dashboards are aligned to the right user roles. This will help ensure users see the most useful information for their responsibilities and can access the relevant records when clicking through from Magic Charts.

πŸ“Š Filters redesign

We have continued improving filters across Onos to make it easier to view, refine, and analyse the information that matters most.
As part of this update, we have removed the previous dual filter locations across the page header and secondary top navigation, replacing them with a single, clearer place to select and activate the filters you need. Where appropriate, your selected filters will continue to move with you across pages, helping maintain context as you navigate between views.

Coming soon: High-level cards used on list pages are being updated to support click-through into the underlying data, bringing easier navigation from headline figures to the relevant source records.

What this means for you:

  • A simpler and more consistent filtering experience
  • One clear location to manage active filters
  • Easier reporting across dashboards, tables and key module areas
  • Better continuity when moving between relevant pages

Admin next steps:
Please review the updated filtering experience in your key modules and share with users who regularly review or export data.

πŸ” Audits and Inspections – Reopen Capability

We have improved the ability to reopen Audits and Inspections through review and action workflows.
This helps teams manage situations where further information, correction, or follow-up is needed after a record has been submitted or closed, without needing to duplicate work unnecessarily.

What this means for you:

  • Easier correction of submitted records
  • Better support for review and follow-up workflows
  • Reduced duplication when updates are required

✨ Additional Improvements

Alongside the main updates above, we have also delivered a number of smaller improvements to help streamline workflows and improve the user experience across Onos.

  • Bulk actions

Bulk actions are now available on list pages across Onos, allowing users to select multiple records and complete common updates in one step. Depending on the module and user permissions, records can be marked as closed, moved to a different category or removed, helping reduce repetitive administration. Additional bulk actions will be introduced across more modules over time.

  • Table settings and column resize

Table settings have been added to more pages across Onos, alongside the ability to resize table columns. This gives users more control over how information is displayed and makes larger datasets easier to review.

  • Audit action required answer setting

A new answer setting has been added to Audits, allowing template builders to identify responses that should require follow-up action and support more consistent audit close-out.

  • Supplier Scorecard Scheduling

Supplier Scorecards now support improved scheduling and clearer association with project-specific or company-wide scorecards, helping teams manage recurring supplier reviews more consistently.

  • PDF export improvements

PDF exports have been updated to improve readability, performance and sharing, including clearer PPE icons, clickable links, improved formatting, faster generation and smaller file sizes for records with multiple photo attachments.

  • Power BI Integration

Export and visualise selected Onos data within Power BI for advanced analytics and executive reporting, including where customers want to combine Onos insights with other internal systems.

  • Supplier Documents and Training Improvements

Following customer feedback, we have improved Supplier Documents and Training with clearer filtering, updated page layouts, company tier matrix support, and clearer status wording.

  • Create User from Staff Record

Admins can now create a new user directly from a staff record, reducing duplicate admin work and making it easier to provide system access when needed.

  • Improved Project Manager selection

The Project Manager field when adding a new project has been improved, helping users select the right manager more easily.

  • Completed By label update for Inspections

Inspection wording has been updated to make the β€œCompleted By” field clearer for users.

  • RAMS updates and fixes

We have made further updates and fixes to RAMS to improve usability and support more consistent workflows.

βš™οΈ Why This Matters

Across all of these updates, our focus remains the same: reducing admin time, improving visibility, strengthening compliance, and making Onos easier to use across teams, projects and business units.
By improving filters, dashboards, Audit workflows, table views and reporting options, we are helping customers get more value from their data while continuing to support practical, day-to-day site and operational management.

πŸš€ What’s Coming Next

Our upcoming roadmap continues to be shaped by customer feedback, product roadmap survey responses, and the operational needs we hear from teams using Onos every day.

  • Permits to Work

A digital process for managing permits, approvals and controlled work activities, supporting safer site operations and clearer visibility of authorised work.

  • Custom Incident Forms

Work is underway on the new Incident module, including support for configurable incident forms built using the Onos form builder. This will give customers more flexibility to capture the right information at each stage of their incident process.

  • Fleet inspections and directory

Work is continuing on Fleet inspections and directory functionality as part of our ongoing Fleet Management development.

  • ITP & Compliance

New functionality to support Inspection & Test Plans and compliance workflows, helping teams manage quality checks, evidence capture and sign-off processes more consistently.
